John Roberts serves as the Real Estate & Development Manager for Freedom Real Estate & Capital, LLC, a full-service commercial real estate development company in Huntsville. In this role, he manages brokerage operations, development projects, and external relations. Freedom is a 100% employee-owned ESOP and a sister company to Torch Technologies.

John’s career has centered on driving economic growth and workforce development in the Huntsville area. As Business Retention & Expansion Director at the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber, he managed key economic development projects, helped recruit new jobs, and built partnerships with local employers to strengthen the region’s economy.

He also co-founded the North Alabama Homebuilding Academy during his time at the Huntsville Madison County Builders Association. This no-cost workforce development school prepares men and women for careers in the construction trades and was recognized with the AlabamaWorks Innovator Award by Governor Kay Ivey in 2021.

John grew up in Hartselle and now lives in Huntsville with his wife, Madison, who serves as the Executive Director of the South Huntsville Main Business Association, and their two-year-old son, John Jr. The Roberts family is excited to welcome baby boy number two later this year. They are active members of Asbury Church in Madison.
